    On an unseasonably warm October morning, the 50th tree was planted at the Memorial Plaza. The White Swamp Oak was lowered by crane. When completed there will be over 400 trees at the plaza.

    The north pool of the 9/11 Memorial got its first test on this day. The taps were turned on, creating cascading waterfalls over the 30-foot high granite walls.

    In the last week of March, with steel laid up to the 60th floor and concrete poured up to the 52nd floor, work began picking up at One World Trade Center. Trees were planted and the benches at the memorial plaza were being fit together. The Santiago Calatrava transportation hub was taking shape and the lunch cart has been expanded.

    On these hot blazingly hot days in June, the latest updates include nearly 20 floors with concrete poured, the placement of the granite tiles in the North pool of the 9/11 Memorial is near complete and construction has begun on the South pool.
