Train frequency is calculated from the MTA Real-Time Data Feeds. WNYC scores the agony based on how the previous hour's real frequency compares to its scheduled frequency. Unhappy points are added during rush hours, in the rush direction, along stretches where more people enter stations than exit, according to MTA turnstile data. That calculation subject to change with feedback. :-)
